Farmers Market Segment for Mercer Island

June 19, 2009 by Sunny Wonder Media

This segment is a great look at the Farmers Market on Mercer Island starting this Sunday and going through October 11am-3pm.

There are lots of Farmers Markets in the area. The paper posted times and dates for various markets last year which I assume are the same for this year: The Crossroads Market Tuesdays noon -5; the Bellevue Market Thursdays 3-7, the Issaquah Market Saturdays 9-2, the Juanita Market Fridays 3-7, the Kirkland Market Wednesdays 2-7 and the Redmond market Saturdays 9-3. It seems like you can find a market just about every day of the week in the local area.

Continuing Video Production

June 15, 2009 by Sunny Wonder Media

It seems I am always either videotaping something or editing something, in between the needs of raising 2 teens and a pre-teen. I am in the process of finishing a Lacrosse highlight reel for Ricky’s lacrosse team and then finishing a compilation of the Seattle St. Patrick’s Day Parade with a family rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow at my dad’s annual Irish celebration. I also hope to put together a quick sampler of the Newport performance of Urinetown, which was covered by a different production company but I brought my single camera without a tripod to see what I could get and potentially share if it turns out. As these come together, I’ll post here and let those that may be interested know where to find them. I hope to have them finished this week if possible.

Sunny Wonder new Video

June 11, 2009 by Sunny Wonder Media

Sunny Wonder features highlights of local video productions of school events, drama productions, youth sports events, youth music performances mostly that my kids have been in but also of events that people have asked me to cover for them because they like how the videos turn out.  Here is a highlight from Newport High School’s trip to Victoria for the Victoria Parade.

As a way of introduction, I have been producing video since my senior year at the University of Washington in 1985.  At KCTS Seattle, the PBS station in Seattle, I continued to produce segments from 1987-1998.  Since 1998, I’ve continued to gain productions skills and have been very busy producing the variety of projects described above.  This blog is meant to be a showcase of highlights from that work.
